When we put you up for a position, we do so fully believing that you are the best suited candidate for the role. We showcase you to our client in a way that enables you to stand out from other candidates. We have strong relationships with our clients and they value our expertise.
Alliance Legal is a RESOURCE you can trust.
Let me show you why.
– Shannan Humphries
You have just embarked on gathering information regarding one of the greatest decisions you will ever make. In my first professional office, I hung a picture on the wall that still hangs today. I purchased it at Michael’s in 1987. It features 21 Suggestions for Success by H. Jackson Brown, Jr., and it has served me well all these years. I must admit, any problems I have encountered may have been avoided had I paid more attention to a few of these.
I do believe, however, that there is one addition that should have been included between numbers 1 and 2.
The two greatest and influential aspects of your life that will affect your happiness involve your fulfillment in your personal life as well as that in your professional life.
1.5: Develop a relationship with a proven recruiter to help you navigate your career path and achieve your desired goals.
It is my desire to help you to maximize your career potential. Advising you is what fuels my passion, and placing you is what compensates me. There is a big difference, and a lot that happens in between the two.
At Alliance Legal, our goal is to provide a service that helps people. We are driven by the desire to serve others and to use our gifts to make a difference in your livelihood. You can decide how much help you want to accept and we can proceed at a pace that is comfortable for you. There is never any pressure here, but there will be direct and honest advice and feedback.
Should you use a recruiter or submit on your own?
How do you select a recruiter you can trust?
Our first objective at Alliance Legal Staffing is to be a trusted resource for you, whether we ever do business with you or not. Hopefully you have read enough throughout this site to have an understanding of what motivates us. You owe it to yourself to be educated so that you can make informed decisions regarding what is best for you. To do so, you should have inside knowledge and transparency about the industry as a whole. We would like to send you a White Paper to give you valuable insight about the recruiting industry and help you decide which approach is best suited for your growth.
At Alliance, we value our candidates.
Our commitment to you is to provide a valuable experience, whether you decide to work with us or not.
STEP 1: An Initial Call
Let’s start with an initial call as an introduction. You can send me your resume beforehand so that we can talk about it over the call or we can just visit first to make sure you are comfortable going any further. It’s important for you to know that just because we talk, it doesn’t mean you are obligated to anything. I am happy to answer any questions you have, fill you in on current market trends and give you my best advice regarding your circumstances. There is no charge and our conversations are kept in the strictest of confidence. Anything you share with me stays with me.
STEP 2: Professional Coaching
When you choose to work with me, you will receive professional coaching through each step of the process. The further you go in the process, the more time we will spend together. We will develop a relationship and get to know one another. On occasion, there could be a circumstance that would prohibit me from having the right opportunity to present you to at that time. Even then, my goal is to give you advice that will benefit you moving forward – even if that means I am not the recruiter that reaps the benefit of actually placing you.
This email will always be dear to me. I didn’t make a penny, but I learned that I made a difference! James sent me his resume and I knew that I didn’t have anything for him, and likely wouldn’t. I called James and told him that I probably wouldn’t be able to place him in a position, but that I would like to help him with his resume in hopes it would open more doors for him moving forward. He accepted the invitation, and a few months later, I received this very special email from him.
This is why I LOVE what I do for a living! My goal is to help every person I meet rather than to place every person I meet – there is a big difference!
STEP 3: Superior Representation
Who is carrying your resume into the room?
1. Experience: Someone who was proven in their field. Someone who had spent their career honing their skills rather than an amateur with relatively little experience in the industry. I would not want to work with someone who was part of a large agency where I wasn’t even sure who exactly was representing me. I would want a recruiter with established relationships and inside information who could assist me in making sure that this position was indeed as it was being represented. Someone who could share things beyond the written job description. Someone I knew I could trust.
2. Creativity: Someone who could think outside the box with a talent for coming up with solutions to any obstacles we may face along the way. Someone who could make me stand out from the competition and highlight me in a way that would be different from what everyone else does. Someone who could be two steps ahead of the game and negotiate on my behalf.
3. Motivation: Someone who I knew was in this for the right reason. Someone who not only wants to help me, but can also actually help me. Someone who is honest and communicates with me. Someone who I feel certain has my best interest at heart. Someone who makes me feel comfortable and at ease.
